When do Chalk Talk meetings happen?
ISCA Chalk Talks (virtual meetings) will normally be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:30 PM in an effort to avoid conflicts with coaching/sport schedules.

Zoom meeting invitations will be sent out via email prior to each meeting.

How are ISCA Chalk Talks structured?
Different topics will be presented & discussed each month by various coaches from across the state.
Example Meeting Outline:
Welcome / Introduction (5 minutes)
Discussion Primer Presentation (5-15 minutes)
Group Discussion (30-35 minutes)
Final Thoughts (5-10 minutes)
Who will normally present topics at each Chalk Talk?
Iowa strength coaches. We want to provide an opportunity for the coaches in our great state to learn and grow from each other.
What will a breakout session look like?
The intent of breakout sessions is to have conversations surrounding the topic that was presented on. This can be how coaches handle the specific topic in their own district or a challenge that they face that they would like help with.
What if you can’t make all of them? Can you still be a part of it?
Yes, of course!
Will the Chalk Talks be recorded so you can watch them if you miss?
The monthly Chalk Talks will not be recorded. We want to keep the content reserved for those who attend the meeting in order to encourage participation from members.
